THE BRAND

Amalia Home Collection is a culmination of 100 years of experience and heritage in the textile industry. Its roots can be traced back several generations to the 1920s, when some of the original mills of northern Portugal began to manufacture products that personify European quality and craftsmanship. The tradition continues today with Amalia Home Collection. Drawing its inspiration from the very place the product is made, the collection represents the landscape and people of Portugal. From the coastline to the mountainside, from stone streets to rolling hills, each design is made to bring a little piece of Portugal to your home.

AMALIA

Amalia is the soul of Portugal. It embodies our saudade, beauty, and destiny, meaning this collection contains our soul and reflects our country in all its glory, melancholy, and happiness. The name of the collection is inspired by the great grandmother of António Coelho Lima, owner, and founder of ACL Impex and one of the creators of Amalia Home Collection. Amalia is also a name known worldwide through one of the most iconic Portuguese music forms: Fado. Our history gives even more heart to this collection that has its roots firmly bonded to its legacy.

Amalia Home Collection is a 4th generation family-run business based out of Guimarães, a city in northern Portugal. This city is known for its well-preserved medieval buildings such as the 10th century Guimarães Castle, the restored Dukes of Bragança Palace, built in the style of a French chateau, containing a museum showcasing furniture, tapestries, and weapons, and the Romanesque São Miguel do Castelo Church, built in the 13th century.
